Chairman of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) Nguyen Trong Hy has stated that if the U-23 football squad has any scandals at the upcoming 24th SEA Games, he would resign.

 

SWhenever match-fixing scandal at SEA Games 2005 is mentioned, I still feel sad and I”m determined to develop clean football in Vietnam. I believe that scandals will not happen, otherwise I will resign,⬝ he told reporters.

 

Hy directly oversees the campaign to build clean football at the national football championship 2007 and in national football teams.

 

Before the U23 squad goes to Thailand for 24th SEA Games today, November 27, Hy said: SI believe that U23 Vietnam will play in a clean manner at these games because they have had examples to avoid making similar scandals⬝.

 

SWe have talked to players about this and the Ministry of Public Security will give a help the Vietnamese sports delegation and the national football squad as well,⬝ Hy added.

 

VFF Secretary General Tran Quoc Tuan will lead the men”s national football squad to 24thSEA Games.
