V.LEAGUE AWARDS 2026: Celebrating 25 Years of Professional Football in Vietnam

The 2025/26 National Professional Football season has officially concluded after 340 exciting, dramatic, and emotion-filled matches. V.League Awards 2026 is not only an occasion to honour the most outstanding teams and individuals of the season, but also carries special historical significance as it commemorates the 25-year journey of professional football in Vietnam (2000/01–2025/26).

V.LEAGUE AWARDS 2024: Celebrating Excellence

At the conclusion of the vibrant and thrilling 2023/24 National Professional Football Season, the Vietnam Professional Football Company (VPF) collaborated with FPT Play Television Company to organize the V.League Awards 2024. This event aims to honor individuals and teams who have achieved outstanding performances during the past season of the National Professional Football Championship.

Training to learn from VAR referee experience: Continuously improve to master VAR technology

On the morning of March 29, VPF and the VFF’s Arbitration Committee coordinated to organize training to learn from experience related to the operation of VAR technology at the 2023/24 Night Wolf V.League 1 in the past phase 1.

Viettel FC changed the name to The Cong – Viettel FC

On November 21, 2023, at the Military Industry and Telecommunications Group (Viettel), the ceremony to announce the decision to change the name of Viettel Football Club to The Cong – Viettel Football Club was solemnly held. The Cong – Viettel FC will become the official name of the team under Viettel Group in the 2023-2024 season.

VAR referee course 2 has completed the first step of theoretical training

10 VAR referees and 3 VAR assistant referees, along with 10 technicians of the 2nd VAR class organized by VPF Company in conjunction with the VFF Arbitration Committee, have completed the first step and prepared the practicing period under the supervision of FIFA experts.

Drawing ceremony of the V.League season 2023-2024

On the afternoon of September 22.9, Vietnam Professional Football Joint Stock Company (VPF) held a draw ceremony to schedule matches for national professional football tournaments in the 2023 – 2024 season.

V-League 2023: Hanoi Police Club lifts the championship trophy

The 1-1 draw against Thanh Hoa was enough for the Hanoi Police Club to be crowned the V.League 2023. Thus, after 20 years, the V.League saw a newly promoted team immediately win the championship.

VAR continues to be applied in the match between Hanoi FC and Hai Phong Club

After the first match VAR was officially operated in round 3, VPF will continue to apply VAR technology in the match between Hanoi FC and Hai Phong Club, on August 2, 2023 in the round 4 period 2 Night Wolf National Championship 2023.

“VAR will contribute to improving the quality of V.League”

The leaders of the VFF and the leaders of the VPF shared that the application of VAR would make matches more fair and contribute to improving the quality of matches and tournaments.

The VAR is expected in 3 to 5 Night Wolf V.League matches 1-2023

After being approved by FIFA to allow the use of VAR technology at matches in accordance with FIFA’s VAR referee standards, VPF is continuing to take the next steps to be able to soon apply VAR technology right at some matches of the 2023 season.

VPF actively implements the plan to apply VAR technology to matches in V.League

As part of the plan to bring video technology to assist referees (VAR technology) to apply in matches at V.League, VPF Company has organized a VAR referee training class at LAB for a period from February 20 to March 6 in Hanoi.
