Closing ceremony of the FIFA Workshop on Enhancing Women’s Football Management Capacity

After three days of active and productive work, the Workshop on Enhancing Administrative Management Capacity under the Women’s Football Development Program supported by FIFA officially concluded today, May 8, in Thai Nguyen. All participants successfully completed the workshop agenda, which delivered many practical values for the development of women’s football in Vietnam.

The closing ceremony was attended by Mr. Tran Anh Tu, Vice President of the Vietnam Football Federation; Mr. Doan Van Cong, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Thai Nguyen; Mr. Luu Cong Son, Chairman of the Thai Nguyen Football Federation and Head of the Women’s Football Department of the VFF; and Mrs. Nguyen Thanh Ha, Deputy General Secretary of the VFF.

Speaking at the closing ceremony, Tran Anh Tu, Vice President of the Vietnam Football Federation, acknowledged and highly appreciated the participants’ spirit of learning, open exchange, and sense of responsibility, while also expressing gratitude for the active support of the FIFA experts and the organizations involved in coordinating the workshop.

Tran Anh Tu emphasized that throughout the workshop, participants had the opportunity to gain access to a wide range of fundamental and practical knowledge related to the management and operation of modern women’s football. Topics covering communications, marketing, sponsorship, project management, financial planning, administration, and sports medicine provided valuable information, contributing effectively to practical work at localities, clubs, and related organizations.

Through discussion sessions, experience sharing, and direct exchanges with FIFA experts, the participants not only enhanced their professional knowledge but also gained new perspectives on the development trends of women’s football toward professionalism, modernization, and sustainability.

This is considered an important foundation for organizations and units to continue improving their governance and enhancing operational quality, as women’s football in Vietnam enters a new stage of development with many new demands and opportunities.

“This workshop was not only a professional training activity but also an opportunity to strengthen connections among units involved in the development of women’s football nationwide. The Vietnam Football Federation aims to gradually build a professional and synchronized women’s football management workforce capable of adapting to the modern development trends of international football,” shared Tran Anh Tu.

Representatives of FIFA attending the program also highly appreciated the proactive efforts of the VFF in developing women’s football, particularly its focus on enhancing the management and operational capacity of officials directly involved in women’s football at localities and clubs.

At the closing ceremony, Natcha, representing FIFA, said she was honored to visit Thai Nguyen and expressed her gratitude to the Vietnam Football Federation, provincial leaders, and the Thai Nguyen Football Federation for their warm hospitality throughout the program.

She emphasized that many meaningful activities had taken place over the past three days and expressed hope that the knowledge and experiences gained from the workshop would contribute to building and developing the women’s football community in Vietnam. She also hoped to have the opportunity to meet again and continue accompanying Vietnamese women’s football in the future.

The VFF sincerely thanked FIFA for its continuous support and companionship in the development of Vietnamese women’s football, while also expressing appreciation to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Thai Nguyen Province, the Thai Nguyen Sports Training and Competition Center, the Thai Nguyen Football Federation, and all related organizations for their thoughtful coordination in organizing the workshop.
