The French coach expressed his confidence in his players and hoped that fans would come to the stadium to encourage the team.
“This is our fourth match in the second qualifying round of the World Cup. We still maintain the goal, which is to get the best result to qualifier to the third round. In the current situation, the Vietnam team still has the opportunity to take initiative and self-determination. We believe in our goals. In the next three matches, two will be played at home. This is a big advantage. Therefore, we hope to receive the support of as many audiences as possible, from the first second to the last second. We are aware of our responsibilities and duties. We are aware that we must always be proactive. I believe the players also understand that,” coach Philippe Troussier emphasized in the press conference.
Commenting on the rematch with Indonesia, coach Philippe Troussier said: “We have had some analysis and speculation about Indonesia’s strategy. They can counter-attack or attack suddenly. But whatever the situation, we are ready to face it. No matter what personnel are used, we must strive until the last second. The team’s goal is to have no regrets after the match.”
He further shared that he has all the necessary forces on hand and is ready to take part in tomorrow’s match. He believes that in a stressful match, the physical factor also plays a very important role. The coaching staff has carefully prepared tactics and personnel options for the match. “Over the past few days, I have observed the players’ expressions, attitudes, eyes and lifestyle. I’m not worried about player morale. They are still full of desire. I believe the players are all ready to play,” coach Philippe Troussier affirmed.
