Identify 4 teams qualified to the final round of National Championship Division 2 – Alpha Cup 2022
On the afternoon of June 3, the last matches in the qualifying round of the National Championship Division 2 – Alpha Cup 2022 was held. After the early ticket to the final for Dong Nai, the remaining 3 tickets were left to Hai Nam Vinh Yen Vinh Phuc, Hoa Binh and Binh Thuan.
Before entering the final match, only Dong Nai Club was sure to enter the finals. The remaining 3 tickets are fierce competition of Hai Nam Vinh Yen Vinh Phuc, Hoa Binh, Lam Dong in Group A; Binh Thuan and Gia Dinh in Group B.
In Group A, with one point advantage over 2 opponents and only having to meet the bottom team Kon Tum, Hai Nam Vinh Yen Vinh Phuc did not have much difficulty to win with a score of 2-0, thereby preserving the top position in the table. This is also an unexpected result and all attention is focused on the two matches at the same time, Youth Quang Nam vs Lam Dong and Young SHB Da Nang vs Hoa Binh. Together with 20 points and a tie in the head-to-head results, Lam Dong and Hoa Binh were forced to win to compete for tickets to the next round. However, due to the disadvantage of being inferior to the opponent in terms of goal difference, even though they overcame Quang Nam Youth with a score of 4-0, Lam Dong still had to give up his ticket to the finals for Hoa Binh. The Northwestern team excellently defeated Young SHB Da Nang with 3 goals and successfully defended the second place in the group.
In Group B, because the first ticket to the finals soon belonged to Dong Nai, the remaining spot is the division between Binh Thuan and Gia Dinh. In the direct confrontation this afternoon, Binh Thuan only needed a draw to win the ticket to continue, while Gia Dinh was forced to win. The advantage of points has helped Binh Thuan fully take the initiative in how to enter the game. Even when they conceded first in the 32nd minute, they still preserved their position thanks to Le Duc Tai’s goal in extra time of the first half. The score 1-1 was kept until the referee. The final whistle blew, meaning the second ticket to the finals was given to coach Nguyen Minh Dung’s team.
Thus, at the end of the qualifying period, four teams have won the right to compete in the finals, competing for two places to be promoted to the national first place in the 2023 season, including: Hai Nam Vinh Yen Vinh Phuc, Hoa Binh (Group A), Dong Nai , Binh Thuan (Group B).
