Kick-off the National Championship Division 2 – Asanzo Cup 2021
On the afternoon of 4th May, the national championship division 2 – Asanzo Cup 2021 officially opened with the matches of groups A and B.

The opening ceremony was held at Hoa Binh Stadium. The delegation included Mr. Bui Duc Hinh – Provincial Party Deputy Secretary, Chairman of Hoa Binh People’s Council; Mr. Bui Van Khanh – Provincial Party Deputy Secretary, Chairman of Hoa Binh People’s Committee. On the VFF side, there were Mr. Le Hoai Anh – VFF General Secretary, Head of the Organisation Committee; Mrs. Dinh Thi Thu Trang – VFF Deputy General Secretary. The ceremony also had the attending of sponsors: Mr. Nguyen Trung Kien – CEO of Next Media; Mr. Do Thanh Tung – Deputy General-Director of Next Media; Mr. Pham Van Tam – Chairman of the board of Asanzo Group.
This is the first time Hoa Binh join in the National Championship Division 2, therefore, the first match receives the big attention of the local spectator. However, in the situation of the pandemic, the organisation committee decided to cancel the ticket and play with an empty stand, as well as follow the Guidance in the pandemic period of VFF.
Speaking at the ceremony, on behalf of VFF and the Organisation, Mr. Le Hoai Anh – VFF General Secretary thanked the cooperation of local authorities, Asanzo Group, sponsors, press for the support to Vietnam Football and particularly the National Championship Division 2.
After the ceremony, the opening match between Hoa Binh FC and Hai Nam Vinh Yen- VP took place with the determination of both teams. However, after 2 halves, the game ended with a score of 0-0.
Even got only 1 point, head coach Le Quoc Vuong stated that the result is acceptable for a new team as Hoa Binh FC.
On the other hand, head coach Dao Viet ha of Hai Nam Vinh Yen – VP didn’t satisfied with the result.
On the same day, Lam Dong had a first win 4-1 over Kon Tum, thereby on top of group A. Meanwhile, in group B, there was the only host Tien Giang having 3 points while defeating Vinh Long 1-0. Youth HCM City and Dong Nai had to share points with Binh Thuan and Gia Dinh with the draw of 1-1.
