Matchday 13 of the 2025 National Championship – Division 2: Quang Ninh and Bac Ninh secure early promotion tickets
On the afternoon of June 17, the 2025 National Championship – Division 2 continued with exciting action in Matchday 13 — the penultimate round of the season. In Group A, the two promotion spots to the 2025/26 National First Division have been officially secured by Quang Ninh and Bac Ninh.

In the highlight match of Group A, the ambitious Bac Ninh side showcased their strength with a commanding 3-0 victory over direct promotion rival PVF–CAND Youth at the PVF Stadium. Goals from Lê Sỹ Minh, Vũ Hồng Quân, and Nguyễn Thế Thắng sealed the win and secured Bac Ninh’s promotion with one match to spare.
Meanwhile, Quang Ninh also completed their mission with a convincing 3-0 win over Hoai Duc at Cam Pha Stadium. The goals came from an own goal by Thế Huy Hoàng of Hoai Duc, along with strikes from Trần Hải Anh and Nguyễn Văn Sơn.
In Group B, the race for promotion remains intense as Lam Dong suffered a 0-1 defeat to Van Hien University. With this result, Lam Dong, Van Hien University, and Gia Dinh could all finish with 29 points if Gia Dinh defeats Lam Dong and Van Hien University beats Dak Lak in the final round.
In that scenario, based on the head-to-head records among the three teams, Lam Dong would only have 4 points, which is lower than Gia Dinh (5 points) and Van Hien University (7 points). Therefore, if Lam Dong loses, their only hope for promotion would be for Van Hien University to fail to win against Dak Lak, which would limit Van Hien University’s maximum points to 27.
