Opening Ceremony of the 2024 National U21 Football Championship Final Round
This afternoon (August 1), the opening ceremony of the 2024 National U21 Football Championship Final Round took place in a lively atmosphere at the PVF (Hung Yen).

Representatives from the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) attending the tournament included Mr. Nguyen Quoc Hoi – Permanent Member of the VFF; Mr. Nguyen Minh Chau – Deputy General Secretary and Head of the Tournament Organizing Committee; and Mr. Kim Sang Sik – Head Coach of the National Team. The host organization was represented by Mr. Kim Nam Pyo – Technical Director of the PVF. Representatives from FPT Play – the broadcasting partner of the tournament, along with media agencies and numerous fans, were also present.
On behalf of the Organizing Committee, Mr. Nguyen Minh Chau – Deputy General Secretary of the VFF and Head of the Tournament Organizing Committee, declared the opening of the tournament and emphasized: “With the goal of sustainable football development, in recent years, the VFF has focused on investing in youth teams to build a future talent pool for the national teams. The National U21 Championship is one of the important tournaments in the VFF’s competition system.”
Mr. Nguyen Minh Chau also expressed his gratitude for the active support of the Hung Yen Provincial People’s Committee, the Department of Culture, Sports & Tourism of Hung Yen Province, relevant departments and agencies of the province, the PVF Youth Football Training Center, and the Thanh Tri District Center for Culture, Information, and Sports in organizing the final round of the tournament.
The final round of the 2024 National U21 Football Championship features a competition among 12 teams: PVF, LPBank HAGL, Ho Chi Minh City, The Cong Viettel, SHB Da Nang, Dong Thap, Lam Dong, Hanoi, Quang Nam, Long An, Binh Phuoc, and Dong A Thanh Hoa.
The matches will take place at two venues: the PVF Center and the Thanh Tri Stadium, from August 1 to August 12, 2024.
