Opening the U21 National Championship 2022 Final round: Host SLNA has the first victory

In the opening match of the U21 National Championship 2022 Final round at Vinh Stadium, U21 SLNA easily won 4-1 against U21 Da Nang.

With the home field advantage, U.21 SLNA pushed up the squad to attack in the first minutes. The home team almost recieved a goal after a quick counterattack of U.21 Da Nang when Thanh Tai pushed the ball and then sped up to face goalkeeper Tung Han (SLNA) but tripped himself in the penalty area.

In the 9th minute, Tran Quoc Thanh dribbled the ball on the left wing and crossed in to let Dinh Xuan Tien hit the header but could not make it difficult for the goalkeeper of the Da Nang team. In the 20th minute, from the corner kick on the left wing of Dinh Xuan Tien, Ho Khac Luong jumped up and headed bravely to break the deadlock.

After scoring the opening goal, the SLNA team cheered up and continued to press the field. In the 30th minute, from the opponent’s indiscreet phase, the U.21 SLNA players took full advantage with a beautiful combination before Dinh Xuan Tien decisively finished, raising the score to 2- 0.

In the second half, the home team continued to dominate. In the 50th minute, Ho Van Cuong crossed the line for Dinh Xuan Tien to jump up on the right wing and stretch to clear the deck for Quoc Thanh to subtly dig the ball to deepen the gap to 3-0 for U.21 SLNA.

Only 3 minutes later, Xuan Tien had a solo phase in the central area when he passed the ball past many U.21 Da Nang players and gently beat goalkeeper Ho Tung Han, raising the score to 4-0 for the home team of Vinh Stadium.

In the 64th minute, Thanh Tai was the one who successfully took the penalty to score the honorable goal for U.21 Da Nang.

The match ended, U.21 SLNA won all 3 points in the opening match with an easy victory with a score of 4-1 against U.21 Da Nang.

In the early match at 14:30, U.21 HAGL and U.21 Thanh Hoa ended with a 0-0 draw.

Compared to U.21 Thanh Hoa, U.21 HAGL is a more appreciated team when owning a squad with many players who have fought in the V-League arena. In the first half, HAGL team controlled the ball better. On the other hand, the Thanh Hoa team entered the game confidently, playing tight defense but also ready to attack.

U.21 HAGL and Thanh Hoa struggled in the first 45 minutes of the match but no obvious dangerous situations were created. The second half of the first half, HAGL team played to force the opponent but could not create any sharp attack to the opponent’s goal.

In the second half, the two teams created an attractive double attack. U21 Thanh Hoa was the team that created the first remarkable situation. In the 66th minute, the turning point of the match happened when The Nam (HAGL) made a mistake in the situation where Ngoc My (Thanh Hoa) had a chance to score, the referee drew a red card directly to disqualify The Nam. On the free kick, Le Van Cuong put the ball over the fence, but the goalkeeper of HAGL team hugged it.

In the 72nd minute, on the free kick from a distance of more than 20m, Duc Viet of HAGL launched a fairly tight shot but not dangerous enough to beat the opponent’s goalkeeper.

In the remaining time of the match, U.21 Thanh Hoa attacked to find a goal. However, the Thanh team still could not create any really good chances. The match ended in a 0-0 draw.
