Opening of the U19 National Championship 2024

Attending the opening ceremony of the tournament were Mr. Tran Anh Tu – Vice President of VFF, Mr. Ho Hong Thach – Member of the Executive Committee of VFF, Mr. Nguyen Minh Chau – Deputy General Secretary of VFF, Head of the Organizing Committee of the tournament; Mr. Vo Quang Vinh – Deputy Head of the Referee Committee of the VFF, Mr. Bui Huu Toan – Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Binh Duong province, Mr. Cao Van Chong – Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Binh Duong province and Mr. Vu Duc Thanh – Chairman of the Binh Duong Football Federation.

In the speech announcing the opening of the tournament, Mr. Nguyen Minh Chau – Deputy General Secretary of the Vietnam Football Federation and head of the Organizing Committee of the tournament emphasized: “Over the past many years, Vietnamese youth football has achieved exciting achievements in the regional football as well as continental arenas. In particular, we are known as one of the few countries in the region where youth teams U17, U20, and U23 continuously participate in the Asian, thereby forming new generations of players, and adding resources to the National Team. To achieve these achievements, VFF always focuses on investing in a system of youth football tournaments, including the U19 national football championship, and sees this as a guideline for football development activities. From this tournament, we continue to believe that this will be the place to give wings to the dreams of the young generation of players, while contributing to educating style, and moral qualities, and nurturing aspirations to create a foundation, promoting the development of both quantity and quality of the next generation of players of the Club in particular and the National Team in general. With that meaning and spirit, VFF believes that the finals of the U19 National Football Championship will bring attractive matches, rich in dedication with high professional quality, continuing to attract the attention of the fans.

Immediately after the opening ceremony is the opening match between hosts U19 B. Binh Duong and U19 Dong Thap. In the previous early match (at 3:00 p.m.), U19 PVP defeated U19 Hue with a close score of 1-0, thereby winning the first 3 points smoothly.

Finals of the U19 National Football Championship 2024 with the participation of 12 teams, including The Cong Viettel, Hanoi, PVF, Dong A Thanh Hoa, Song Lam Nghe An, Hue, LPBank HAGL, Khanh Hoa, Phu Yen, Binh Phuoc, Dong Thap and Becamex Binh Duong officially kicked off in Thu Dau Mot city, Binh Duong province. Teams are divided into 3 groups to compete in a round-robin format. 03 teams ranked First, 03 teams ranked Second, and 02 teams ranked Third with better performance 3 groups will compete in the Quarterfinals, Semifinals, and Finals. Matches at the finals will take place at locations including Binh Duong Main Stadium, stadium B, and Stadium C of Binh Duong Stadium (April 30 street, Phu Tho ward, Thu Dau Mot City, Binh Duong province). To serve the audience and fans, VFF coordinates with FPT Play to broadcast some matches on FPT Play’s social networking platforms and VFF information pages (VFF Channel, VFF Fanpage…), Soccer Magazine YouTube channel, including the opening ceremony, opening match, quarter-finals, semi-finals, final.
