Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc meets U22 Vietnam and Vietnam Women’s Football team

In the evening 11th Dec, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc had the meeting with the players of U22 Vietnam and Vietnam Women’s Football team who had comeback Hanoi after getting the gold medal at SEA Games 30.

In the cozy meeting, on behalf of the government, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc welcomed head coach Park Hang-seo, head coach Mai Duc Chung and the players of U22 Vietnam and Vietnam Women’s Football team who had a brave performance and glorious victory at the SEA Games 30.

Prime Minister reminded the good comments of international media about U22 Vietnam and appreciated the competitive spirit of the women players. These things created strong emotions with the public.

Prime Minister affirmed that we are now having good coaches and good players. We also have patriotic fans who love football and always support Vietnam’s football on both international and domestic arenas. Behind the teams is the whole country with the Vietnamese spirit. This was not only the victory of sport but also the victory of the Vietnamese’s competitive spirit.

Finally, Prime Minister said: “We should not be subjective. Vietnam’s football needs to have the long plan to develop and at first, it is the U23 AFC Championship”.

Prime Minister thanked the players’ family and the clubs who have supported the teams. This victory must inspire other sectors to make Vietnam’s sports more and more prosperous.

The President of Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) Le Khanh Hai thanked Prime Minister because of the attention for Vietnam’s football. He reported to Prime Minister about the journey of the teams at SEA Games 30. Mr. Le Khanh Hai acknowledged the advice of Prime Minister and promised to continue to develop the teams.

At the meeting, on behalf of U22 Vietnam and Vietnam Women’s Football team, head coach Park Hang-seo and head coach Mai Duc Chung thanked the support of Prime Minister and government during the journey of both teams at SEA Games 30. The successes of the teams are the gift for all Vietnamese supporters.
