U21 PVF-CAND and U.21 Hanoi qualify to the semi-finals of U21 National Football Championship 2023 Thanh Nien
The quarterfinals of the 2023 national U.21 championship took place on the afternoon of September 26 at Thanh Hoa stadium.
In the first competition of the round for the 8 strongest teams, U.21 PVF-CAND with the youthful force continued to impress. The players who were in the PVF U.16 team that defeated Man City’s youth team such as Quang Anh, Gia Hung, and especially 2007-born striker Nguyen Le Phat had an excellent performance to help U.21 PVF-CAND won convincingly 2-0 against U.21 Long An in quarterfinal 1.
Besides, the talented midfielder of U.23 VN Thai Ba Dat also played well and stood out in the U.21 PVF-CAND squad. Le Phat was the player who opened the score, and Gia Bao scored the remaining goal to help coach Nguyen Duy Dong’s team win first place in the semi-finals of the 2023 national U.21 tournament.
On the same afternoon, there was a match between two teams with many fates, U.21 Hanoi and U.21 Viettel. During more than 90 minutes of official competition, Hanoi U.21 played dominantly but missed many scoring opportunities and had to decide the winner or loser with the opponent on penalty kicks. U.21 Hanoi won 9-8 after 10 shots and advanced to the semi-finals.
Today (September 27), the remaining two quarterfinal matches, U.21 Kon Tum vs. U.21 Da Nang and U.21 Thanh Hoa vs. U.21 SLNA, continue to take place at Thanh Hoa Stadium.
