At the meeting, VFF President Trần Quốc Tuấn praised the team’s training spirit and their efforts during this important preparation phase for the 2024 ASEAN Mitsubishi Electric Cup. He emphasized the significance of the upcoming opening match in the regional tournament and expressed his confidence in the abilities of Coach Kim Sang Sik and his players. He also encouraged the players to maintain and strengthen their unity, giving their all.

VFF President Trần Quốc Tuấn shared that, with the attention and investment from the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) and a long period of thorough preparation, this is a crucial time for the team to demonstrate the resilience and fighting spirit of the “Golden Star Warriors.” He encouraged the team to strive for the best possible results in every match of the tournament, starting with overcoming the challenges in the group stage.

In addition, President Trần Quốc Tuấn congratulated Coach Kim Sang Sik and his team for a successful training camp in South Korea. He praised the team’s progress and their spirit of unity throughout the training process, and expressed hope that the valuable experiences gained during this camp would help the team play with greater confidence and effectiveness in the upcoming ASEAN Cup.

Back at today’s training session at Viet Tri Stadium, Coach Kim Sang Sik took advantage of the remaining limited time to reinforce the technical and tactical drills for his players. Viet Tri Stadium is also the venue for the Vietnam national team’s two group stage matches in the 2024 ASEAN Championship, so early training on the official pitch will be very beneficial for the players. Overall, the players were in a relaxed and excited mood, completing the training program set by the coaching staff effectively.

On December 5, the Vietnam national team is joined by three players from Nam Dinh FC: Nguyễn Xuân Son, Nguyễn Văn Toàn, and Nguyễn Văn Vĩ, after they finish their match in the AFC Champions League Two. Coach Kim Sang Sik will also finalize the list of 26 players for the ASEAN Mitsubishi Electric Cup 2024 before the entire team departs for Laos on December 6 to prepare for their opening match in Group B against the host nation.
