Viettel FC is in the same group with defence champion AFC Champions League
According to the draw produces thrilling groups, Viettel FC – defence of V.League 1 will face with the big challenge when stand at the same group with Ulsan Hyundai FC who won the title of AFC Champions League 2020.
Other teams of this group are BG Pathum United (Thailand) and a playoff winner for company in Group F (Australia/Phippines/China).
The 2021 AFC Champions League kicks off with the preliminary stage on April 7 with the group stage – which kicks off on April 14 – to be played in centralised venues.
The round of 16 will take place from Sep 13 to Sep 14, 2021. The quarter-finals plays in Sep 27 and 28. Both rounds play with play-off format. However, the semi-final will have the first leg on Oct 19 and the second leg on Oct 26, 2021.
The final game plays in 2 days 21st and 27th Nov, 2021.
2021 is the first year this tournament have 40 teams instead of 32.
