National Fusal Championship 2009 to kick off today

Nine teams will be vying for honours in the National Futsal Championship 2009 which will be kicked off today at the Phu Tho Sports Hall, Ho Chi Minh City

The attending teams are Maseco, Pham Gia Motor District 6, V. Sport-Ho Chi Minh Public Security newspaper, Dat Lanh Real Estate, Hoang Thu Da Nang, Sanna Khanh Hoa, Tan Phong Gia Lai, Thai Son Bac and Thai Son Nam.

Due to Quang Ngai withdrawed, 9 teams will play round-robin instead of being divided into two groups to compete as scheduled before.

Vietnam Footabll Federation will take this event to select players for upcoming events in the Asean Football Federation (AFF), Asian Football Confederation (AFC), Asian Indoor Games 3 (held in Vietnam) and also the 25th SEA Games which will be held in Laos in Dec 2009.

National Futsal Championship 2009 will finish on 28 Feb.
