V-League champions Dong Tam Long An suffered a 2-0 defeat to Rajpracha from Thailand in their opening match of an invitational tournmanent, Queen”s Cup, in Thailand on November 2.

The newspaper said that the Vietnamese champions conceded two goals in the second half when they tired out.

The team, without midfielder Thanh Truc and centreback Thanh Giang due to injuries, had been convened just one week before the tournament. Also, their duo Minh Phuong and Tai Em have just returned to the club after their international duty with the national team.  

The Vietnamese team have another game with Royal Police in Group A.

The 2006 Queen”s Cup takes place from November 2-15 with the competition of 12 teams, including four invitational guests, Dong Tam Long An, Hanyan from the Republic of Korea, Gombak United and Tampines Rovers, both from Singapore.
