Increase prize for the National Women’s Football Championship – Thai Son Bac Cup 2023

VFF decided to increase the prizes of the National Women’s Football Championship – Thai Son Bac Cup 2023 to encourage clubs to participate in the tournament.

Accordingly, the prizes for individual awards including Best Player of the Tournament, Top Scorer, Best Goalkeeper of the Tournament, and Referee team for completing their tasks increased from 10 million VND up to 20 million VND. Collective prizes saw a stronger increase when the team winning the fair-play award was 50 million VND instead of 20 million VND. The bonus for the third-ranked team was increased from 100 million VND to 200 million VND; The second-ranked team will be increased to 300 million VND (2022 season is 200 million VND); The Champion team will receive a reward of up to 500 million VND. In total, the reward for the entire 2023 tournament is 1.13 billion VND.

This is a great effort of VFF and sponsor Thai Son Bac Electrical Equipment Trading Company Limited, to increase the competitiveness of the tournament.

This year, many fans are looking forward to the performance of the Son La women’s team after a long absence due to force and funding reasons. With the attention from the provincial leaders, the great efforts of local sports people, and especially the timely support of the main sponsor of the women’s national championship, Thai Son Bac Electrical Equipment Trading Co., Ltd., the Club Son La women’s football will return with the national women’s football championship – Thai Son Bac Cup 2023.

National Women’s Football Championship – Thai Son Bac Cup 2023 increases the total number from 7 to 8 teams participating in the tournament, including Hanoi I, Hanoi II, Phong Phu Ha Nam, Ho Chi Minh City I, Ho Chi Minh City Minh II, Son La, Than KSVN, Thai Nguyen T&T. Teams compete in a two-legged round-robin format (first leg and return leg) gathering at the host locality to calculate points, ranked from First to Eighth. Each team is allowed to substitute a maximum of 5 players in a maximum of 3 substitutions per match.

The tournament is expected to take place from November 16 to December 28, 2023, at Thanh Tri Stadium, Vietnam Youth Football Training Center Stadium (Hanoi), and PVF Youth Football Training Center (Hung Yen). The entire tournament was broadcast live on VTVcab and online on VTVcab’s social platforms and replayed on VFF’s social platforms. In addition, the organizers also decided not to organize ticket sales so that fans could go to the stadium to watch and cheer directly for the players.
