Thanh Binh and Thanh Tung called up for Olympic team"s clash in Lebanon

The Vietnam Committee for Physical Education and Sports has approved a list of 20 players, who will be called up for the visit to Lebanon. 

Accordingly, Thanh Binh and Thanh Tung have been given a chance as goalie Tran Duc Cuong misses the Lebanon trip due to suspension. Along with Duc Cuong, playmaker Nguyen Minh Chuyen will not travel to Lebanon for the same reason.

It may prove to be decisive blow for the Olympic team. However, the return by Nguyen Van Bien, Nguyen Quang Tinh and Nguyen Quy Suu, who missed the home clash against Oman due to injuries, will help the team have more options to fill the gap left by Minh Chuyen in the midfield.

Huynh Phuc Hiep, who was sidelined during the clash with Oman, will also make a return.

The Olympic team will start their training in two places, Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, on May 12, after the finish of week 11 of the national championship/V-League.

They then leave Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City for Bangkok, where they will wait for eight hours for transit before heading to Adu Dhabi of the UAE then travel to Beirut, Lebanon.

They will have a training session on May 15 and play the hosts one day later.
