Almeida scored a brace to help Da Nang win all three points at home. Between his two goals, Philani pulled a goal back for the visitors. Earlier, Giang Thanh Thong opened the scoring for the hosts.

Elsewhere, in Pleiku, twice champions Hoang Anh Gia Lai suffered their second surprise home defeat, losing 3-0 to Khatoco Khanh Hoa.
Starting the match with three foreign players Datsakorn Thonglao, Dusit Chalemsem and Yaw Preko, Hoang Anh Gia Lai dominated the game from the start. Young striker Nguyen Tang Tuan wasted a chance to open the scoring as he was twice denied by the visitors” defence. Forward Minh Nghia failed to produce a final touch after a good opportunity created by his teammate.
Thonglao was unlucky to score his first goal in the V-League when his freekick hit the post.
After the break, the home side suffered from counter attacks of the visitors. Khatoco Khanh HOa opened the scoring on 58 minutes, when Nouhnoum Moutawakil lobbed the ball over on-rushing goalkeeper Quoc Tuan into the unguarded net. Thien Hao broke the off-side trap to make it 2-0 for the visitors with 13 minutes to play. Nouhnoum sealed a 3-0 victory for the visitors, three minutes later, after good combination work by Thien Hao and Jonathan.
Losing at home, Hoang Anh Gia Lai fell from second place to third with nine points after five games.
