National U13 Youth Football Championship – Yamaha Cup 2026: Eight Teams advance to the quarterfinals
On the afternoon of 7 July, the final group-stage matches of the National U13 Youth Football Championship – Yamaha Cup 2026 took place at Lach Tray Stadium and the Central Training Centre. As a result, the eight strongest teams from the four groups secured their places in the quarterfinals.
16/07/2026 11:17:53In Group A, Becamex Ho Chi Minh City’s 2-0 victory over T&T Nghe An was not enough to secure a place in the next round. Meanwhile, hosts Hai Phong and Truong Tuoi Dong Nai Football Academy advanced to the quarterfinals after recording victories in the group stage.
In Group B, Dong Nai secured a 3-0 victory over Dak Lak, while Hanoi FC also advanced to the next round, with both teams progressing from the group.
In Group C, Ho Chi Minh City’s disappointing 1-1 draw with Dong A Thanh Hoa brought their campaign, as well as Gia Lai’s, to an end. Dong A Thanh Hoa and The Cong Viettel claimed the two places in the next round.
In Group D, the two strong contenders, Song Lam Nghe An and Ho Chi Minh City Police FC, comfortably secured their places in the quarterfinals. Cong An Ha Noi and LPBank Hoang Anh Gia Lai were officially eliminated from the tournament.
Thus, the eight teams advancing from the final group-stage matches of the National U13 Youth Football Championship – Yamaha Cup 2026 are: hosts Hai Phong, Truong Tuoi Dong Nai Football Academy, Hanoi FC, Dong Nai, Dong A Thanh Hoa, The Cong Viettel, Song Lam Nghe An and Ho Chi Minh City Police FC.
All quarterfinal matches will be played at Lach Tray Stadium on 9 July, with the following fixtures:
- Truong Tuoi Dong Nai Football Academy (Group A winners) vs The Cong Viettel (Group C runners-up)
- Hanoi FC (Group B winners) vs Ho Chi Minh City Police FC (Group D runners-up)
- Dong A Thanh Hoa (Group C winners) vs hosts Hai Phong (Group A runners-up)
- Song Lam Nghe An (Group D winners) vs Dong Nai (Group B runners-up
