Opening training course for match commissioners and referees of national professional tournaments 2024

As part of the preparation plan for the organization of national non-professional football tournaments in 2024, and at the same time drawing on experience in match commissioners and referees last season, the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) organize training courses for match commissioners and referees who will be on duty at national non-professional football tournaments in 2024.

On the afternoon of January 3, the opening ceremony of the training class took place at the headquarters of VFF. The ceremony was attended by President of the Vietnam Football Federation Tran Quoc Tuan, General Secretary of the Vietnam Football Federation Duong Nghiep Khoi, Chairman of the Arbitration Committee Dang Thanh Ha, and match commissioner and referees participating in the training.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, VFF President Tran Quoc Tuan said that in 2024, Vietnamese football will have 22 professional and non-professional tournaments with nearly 1,800 matches, of which 2/3 of the matches will be in the non-professional tournaments. Therefore, the Standing Committee of the VFF is very interested in training in match commissioners and referees of non-professional tournaments. Well-organized system of professional tournaments will create a good foundation for the development of Vietnamese football and the quality of the team of match commissioners and referees also plays a very important role, directly contributing to the success of each tournament.

Chairman of the Arbitration Committee Dang Thanh Ha also emphasized to the match commissioners and referees: “We only have 3 days to attend training to learn from experience and update new laws. I hope that the match commissioners and referees will make every effort and focus in the next 3 days to update their knowledge, complete the theory and practice to equip themselves with necessary equipment before entering duty in the upcoming professional season.”

Accepting the instructions of VFF President Tran Quoc Tuan, VFF General Secretary, Chairman of Training Organizing Committee Duong Nghiep Khoi emphasized that the General Secretariat and relevant functional departments will closely follow the implementation of tasks at the matches, continuing efforts to further improve professionalism in the organization of national non-professional tournaments.

On behalf of the leaders of the Vietnam Football Federation and the Training Course Organizing Committee, Mr. Duong Nghiep Khoi sent Happy New Year wishes and wished the members attending the training class to perform well their tasks in 2024.
