Division leaders The Cong Viettel were held to a 0-0 draw by last week”s third-placed team Dong Nai and two teams remain on top.

Elsewhere, Quang Ninh Coal have returned to the top three after a 4-0 victory over visiting Da My Nghe Saigon, with goals by Tuan Anh, Samson Kayode and Phu Thang.

Dong Nai were missing five key players Nguyen Quan, Tan Duc, Isaac, Thanh HOan and Le Hoa, due to injuries and suspension for their home game with The Cong Viettel.
However, The Cong Viettel, who had been thought to have stronger squad, were unable to dominate the game.
 
Dong Nai, with their home advantage, could have opened the scoring after 12 minutes with Dinh Khang hitting the post.
 
Another opportunity of the hosts went to Thierry, who finished inches wide.
Despite being held, The Cong Viettel remain on top as An Giang surprisingly lost 1-0 to Military Region Five.
 
An Giang dominated the game but failed to create chances while Military Region Five were unlucky to earn three points with Thanh Nam heading home a winner on 76 minutes.

Elsewhere in Quang Ninh, Quang Ninh Coal continued their impressive run, winning 4-0 over Da My Nghe Saigon to join the top three.
 
Mai Ngoc Quang was Quang Ninh Coal”s most dangerous player. His corner kick was met by Tuan Anh, who headed home the opener, after eight minutes.
 
Ngoc Quang was also on hand in Tuan Anh”s second goal just before the break.
 
Dominating the match, Quang Ninh Coal scored two more goals in the second half by Kayode and Phu Thang.
 
The victory put Quang Ninh Coal on third spot with a total of 15 points. They are now neck-and-neck with The Cong Viettle and Dong Nai, who have better goal difference.
 
In Haiphong, Van Hoa Haiphong failed to earn three points, being held to a 0-0 draw by Tay Ninh. Van Hoa Haiphong were stronger than their visitors but were unable to crack Tay Ninh”s defence.
 
The best chance went to Minh Chau, who shot against the cross bar after three minutes.
 
The draw prevented Van Hoa Haiphong from moving to top of the table. They are still fourth in the table with a total of 14 points.
 
Tay Ninh are behind them with a total of 14 points. They are led by Van Hoa Haiphong on goal difference.
