The distance between the top five Vietnam First Division football teams closed to within three points Saturday as all leading teams found at least a point each.

After edging Quang Nam 1-0, Dong Nai jumped to second place with 13 points, just behind An Giang. Dong Nai trails due to goal differences.

Hai Phong also found their third win this week and now stand after Dong Nai with 12 points.

Quang Ninh, who tied leader An Giang 0-0, now has 11 points while Tay Ninh is in fifth with ten points after a 1-1 tie with the Fourth Military Zone yesterday.

With such a narrow gap between the leaders, drastic changes can occur in just one game. With these close standings, the rest of the season is sure to be hot.
