VFF cooperates with VSSM to research and apply health science in sports

The Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) and the Vietnam Society of Sleep Medicine (VSSM) have just signed a Memorandum of Understanding to conduct in-depth research on health science affecting the performance of athletes, including football players.

This is a program of cooperation in research and application of health science in the training and competition activities of athletes, with the goal of finding solutions to improve, increase fitness, reduce injuries in sports. action to help improve performance in competition.

VSSM regularly gathers leading domestic and international medical experts to conduct scientific research and activities

During the program, in addition to research, VFF, in collaboration with VSSM, plans to organize conferences, professional and technical training courses for medical staff on sports medicine knowledge, and at the same time communicate on the applications of health sciences, methods applied in public health care.

The research will start from football through the database of VFF, the research results will then be continued to be applied to facilitate in-depth research and application towards effective methods. actively improve the performance of the players in particular and the athletes in general.

The research program has the participation of Prof.Dr. Duong Quy Sy – Director of Lam Dong Medical College and Sleep Lab Center; and Professor of Penn State Medical College. He is President of Federation of Southeast Asian Sleep Medicine – FSSM – and Vietnam Society of Sleep Medicine – VSSM, Vice President of the Vietnam Respiratory Society, a specialist advisor subject, treating doctor – Covid-19 treatment area, Binh Duong Provincial General Hospital. Prof. Dr. Duong Quy Sy is a leading professor who has made many outstanding contributions to domestic and international medicine with highly applicable researches published in prestigious medical journals in the world, recognized and rewarded by the Government of Vietnam and International Health Organizations. He was voted in the “Top 100 Health Professionals of the Year 2015” by the Center for International Scientific Records Cambridge – UK and was voted in the list of 1,000 people who have contributed to the world’s Science and Technology “Marquis Who’s Who 2014-2015”; In addition, Prof.Dr. Duong Quy Sy is also concurrently at Paris Descartes University (France), Penn State Medical University (USA) and many other prestigious international organizations.

Not only that, recently, Prof.Dr. Duong Quy Sy, together with the Medical Council of Binh Duong Province and leading experts in the field, has guided the locality to distribute treatment plans and save the lives of many Covid-19 patients. Since then, significantly reducing the rate of Covid-19 patients with severe disease and death in Binh Duong, making an important contribution to the treatment of Covid-19 in recent years.

VSSM is a professional social organization established by the Ministry of Home Affairs in 2019 under Decision No. 1071/QD-BNV. In the past time, VSSM has organized many national and international scientific conferences and seminars with many in-depth topics. VSSM gathers many leading scientists, chaired by Prof.Dr. Duong Quy Sy.
