Vietnam Youth Football Championship

On the afternoon of February 18 at the stadium Ton Duc Thang University (HCMC), the qualifying round for the Vietnam Thanh Nien Youth Championship – the 1st Café de Mang Den Cup in 2023 was officially opened. Attending on the side of the Vietnam Football Federation was President Tran Quoc Tuan.

The qualifying round has 42 teams divided into 5 areas to compete from February 18 to March 3, selecting 11 teams to participate in the final round with the home team of Ton Duc Thang University.

A total of 65 qualifying matches will take place across the country, including the Northern region playing from February 20 to 27 in Hanoi City (Thuy Loi University), the Central region playing from February 22 – March 1 in Da Nang city (Danang University of Sports and Physical Training);

The South Central region and the Central Highlands will compete from February 24 to 28 in Buon Ma Thuot city, Dak Lak province (yard of University of Tay Nguyen), the Southwest region will compete from February 26 to March 2 at Can Tho Stadium, Can Tho City, Ho Chi Minh City area, competed from February 18 to March 3 at the yard of Ton Duc Thang University (HCMC).

Right after the opening ceremony was the match between Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education and the University of Transport in Group A in Ho Chi Minh City. As a result, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education won with a score of 2-0.

In Group B in the HCMC region, the Ho Chi Minh City University of Education won the Vietnam Aviation Academy with a score of 5-1 while the Mo University of Ho Chi Minh City surpassed the Banking University of Ho Chi Minh City with the score 3-1.
