VFF President Tran Quoc Tuan meet representative of DFB, KNVB and RBFA

On September 30 and October 1, on the occasion of AFF Congress in Ho Chi Minh City, VFF President Tran Quoc Tuan worked with representatives of the German, Netherland and Belgian Football Association delegations on cooperation of Vietnamese football with developed football countries in Europe.

Also participating in the meeting on the VFF side were: Vice President Tran Anh Tu, Vice President Nguyen Trung Kien, General Secretary Duong Nghiep Khoi, Deputy General Secretary Nguyen Thanh Ha.

The DFB’s delegation includes President Bernd Neuendorf, Foreign Affairs Officer Patrick Wolf; The Royal Belgian Football Association has an officer in charge of foreign affairs, Hedeli Sassi; The Netherland Football Association has Secretary General Gijs de Jong and foreign affairs officer Amin Belhaj Chankour.

At the meeting, representatives of the leaders of football federations from Europe highly appreciated the thoughtfulness and professionalism of the Vietnam Football Federation in the preparation and organization of the AFF 2023 Ordinary Congress. Leaders of the associations affirmed the important role of President of Vietnam Football Federation Tran Quoc Tuan for international football organizations. Not only that, representatives of the three federations highly appreciated the achievements of Vietnamese football in recent times. The three representatives all said that Vietnamese football will have new steps in the future.

At the meetings, President of the Vietnam Football Federation Tran Quoc Tuan discussed with the President of the DFB, the General Secretary of the KNVB and representatives of the Royal Belgian Football Association about cooperation plans between federations, such as: Developing coach training; Organize friendly football training trips for men, women, and youth between countries; Sending physical trainers from Europe to help Vietnamese teams; Invite Vietnamese delegations to visit academies and youth training centers to learn from experience; The cooperation program invites young Vietnamese female soccer players to compete and practice at European soccer clubs…

The visit of representatives of European football federations has opened a new direction for development in international cooperation relations of Vietnamese football. This is a positive step for the development of Vietnamese football in the future.
