V-League leaders Binh Duong and defending champions Dong Tam Long An shared the spoils in a game which saw three players sent off.

Despite the draw, Binh Duong still are 13 points clear of second-placed Da Nang who were held to 0-0 draw in Da Nang.

Elsewhere in Hanoi, Hoa Phat Hanoi beat ten-man Southern Steel Saigon Port to escape the relegation zone.
Binh Duong manager Le Thuy Hai opted to play a counter attacking game when the league leaders visited Long An. Mr Hai made four changes to the squad that beat Halida Thanh Hoa 3-1, resting centreback Vu Nhu Thanh, midfielder Nguyen Vu Phong and striker Kesley Alves.

However, it was Binh Duong who had the first chance of the match. Robson De Lima blasted over after just three minutes.

At the other end, Thanh Truc tried his luck, powering in a low shot that forced Binh Duong goalkeeper Nguyen The Anh to dive to his left to turn the ball aside.

The champions” hope to stop Binh Duong”s winning path dented after the break as Le Quang Trai was sent off four minutes into the second half for a second yellow card after a foul against Amaobi.

However, Amaobi was shown a red card for retaliating against Quang Trai.

The host drew level one minute after the hour mark. Centreback Phan Van Giau headed home after Minh Phuong”s corner kick.

Four minutes after the Dong Tam Long An leveller, Binh Duong skipper Tran Truong Giang was sent off for a second yellow card. Truong Giang protested against the referee decision not to give the host players yellow cards despite serious fouls against Binh Duong Philani.

Hoa Phat Hanoi started the game aggressively as they knew they faced a do-or-die situation.
They had their first opportunity almost from the kick-off when Anh Cuong was blocked by Southern Steel Saigon Port defenders.

However, four minutes later, Hoa Phat Hanoi celebrated their first goal. Cong Manh found Anh Cuong at the far post with a cross which beat defenders and goalie Nguyen Hoang Duy of Southern Steel Saigon Port and the left midfielder slotted the ball into the unguarded net.
