In an interview with the press before the training session, head coach Park Hang-seo said that he planned to call 32 players. However, Hoang Duc is injured so he will not be present. “In the current composition, 6 players gathered on the national team for the first time and nearly 10 players under the age of 23. 2/3 of the team this time was at the level of the national team. The remaining components are completely capable of substituting for the above player. The third group is the youth group, which can compete with the reserve group, as the back up for key players. We have observed many keys of the national team. This is the 5th year here. This time, I want to see more new players,” said Park.
When asked about the return of striker Van Quyet, head coach Park Hang Seo shared: “It’s really been a long time since the last time I called Van Quyet. In the current V.League, Van Quyet’s ability to score is still very good. However, to be honest, I still have the feeling that he hasn’t performed well in his position before. That said, but there is really no player who can achieve 100% of the tactical requirements of the coach”.
The Korean coach also said that he is still looking for a solution to help Van Quyet have the best performance. “I will have to continue to find methods for how Van Quyet can maximize his capacity. However, Van Quyet personally also has to make more efforts to be able to complete the task on the field. So this time I want to put he on the team to monitor. I also want to tell everyone that, even an old player like Van Quyet, if he plays well in the V.League, he still has a chance to join the national team.”
Talking about the goal of Vietnam Team in this gathering, head coach Park Hang-seo said: “The results are very important. More importantly, I want to increase the competitiveness between groups 2 and 3. The ultimate target is to perfect tactics and human resource.”
Also this morning, the organizers of the international friendly tournament – Hung Thinh 2022 began selling tickets directly at 3 locations including: Thong Nhat Stadium (HCMC), Ho Chi Minh City Club Office (District 3) and District 7 Stadium (District 7). HCMC).
According to the schedule, Vietnam Team will meet Singapore (19h00 on September 21) and India (19h00, September 27th). The match Singapore – India will take place at 19:00 on September 24.
