Skipper Thach Bao Khanh and young player Quang Vinh were the hosts” best players. Quang Vinh scored all four goals, and Bao Khanh was on hand in three of them.
The victory put The Cong Viettel on top of the table with a total of 14 points. They lead An Giang and Dong Nai on goal difference.
Elsewhere in An Giang, lastweek”s leaders were held to a 0-0 draw with Van Hoa Haiphong.
The Cong Viettel welcomed back skipper Thach Bao Khanh for the match with Thanh Nghia Quang Ngai. The left midfielder made an impression on 26 minutes with a good cross for Quang Vinh, who rounded goalkeeper Ngoc Thao before firing home the opener.

Before half-time, Quang Vinh completed his hat-trick.
Bao Khanh provided another pass for Quang Vinh to score the fourth goal for The Cong Viettel.
Thanh Nghia Quang Ngai have only scored one goal in their four games in the north.
In An Giang, the hosts were held to a goalless draw by Van Hoa Hai Phong in the week seven showdown. It was a tigh clash with few chances for both teams. The hosts” Trong Luat shot cross the goal while Van Hoa Haiphong”s Ngoc Thanh was denied goalkeeper Trong Hoa.
This was the second consecutive draw of An Giang, who had been held to a 0-0 draw with Quang Ninh Coal in week six.
Due to the result, An Giang dropped to second place while Van Hoa Haiphong dropped one place to fourth place.
Da My Nghe Saigon succeded in collecting back-to-back victory, beating Military Region Four 4-2. Last week, they beat another army team, Military Region Five 3-0.
