A key course for AFC Match Commissioners and Local General Coordinators got underway today at AFC House with more than 100 participants from all overAsia taking part in it.

The three-day course is being held as part of AFC’s massive Elite Education Seminar, which spans all possible football topics with an eye on improving the knowledge levels of the participants.

In his opening address, AFC Acting General Secretary Alex Soosay said: “AFC Match Commissioners are the AFC’s ambassadors and they have to ensure our competitions are run in a disciplined manner, according to our tournament regulations.”

“Our biggest push is now in the AFC Champions League and AFC Match Commissioners will play a key role in ushering in a new era of professionalism.”

The course curriculum includes theoretical sessions, AFCAS (AFC Administrative system) training, group discussions and presentations.

Meanwhile, the AFC Disabled Football Referee Instructor Course also started on Monday.
