The newspaper said that Tai Em, Huy Hoang and A Huynh were sidelined and the team lined up goalkeeper Quang Huy, defenders Quang Thanh, Minh Duc, Nhu Thanh, Van Bien, midfielders Tan Tai, Minh Phuong, Hong Minh and Vu Phong, and forwards Thanh Binh and Cong Vinh in the first half.

The Japanese side dominated game in the first minutes and went ahead after 31 minutes.

Two minutes later, Quang Thanh made a through ball to set up Cong Vinh to equalise. In the 35th minute, Vu Phong and Cong Vinh combined to set up Van Bien to extend the lead.

In the second half, the Vietnamese side lined up goalkeeper Vinh Loi, defenders Van Nhien, Dinh Luat, Duy Hoang and Minh Thien, midfielders Anh Duc, Minh Chuyen, Duc Duong and Bao Khanh, forwards Van Thanh and Duoc Em.

In the 67th minute, Duc Em and Bao Khanh set up Van Thanh to make it 3-1. Two minutes later, Van Thanh scored his another goal after a good combination of Van Nhien and Bao Khanh.

Bao Khanh and Anh Duc scored two more goals for the Vietnamese side. However, the defence exposed lethal gaps. In the 87th minute, Duy Hoang scored an own goal and the Japanese side narrowed the gap to 6-3 in the stoppage time.

The Vietnamese side continued to train on morning of October 6 before leaving for Vietnam in the afternoon.

The team will compete at the Capital SH Bank tournament from October 10-14.
