VPF and FPT Play signed a strategic cooperation agreement, raising the level of Vietnamese football

Attending the event, on behalf of the leaders of the Vietnam Sports Adminstration, there were Mr. Tran Duc Phan – Deputy General Director; on the VFF side, there were Mr. Le Van Thanh – Vice President, Mr. Le Hoai Anh – General Secretary. On the side of VPF, there were: Mr. Tran Anh Tu – Standing member of the VFF Executive Committee, Chairman of the Board of Directors of VPF; Mr. Nguyen Quoc Hoi – Standing Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors; Mr. Nguyen Minh Ngoc – General Director. On the side of FPT Corporation, there was Mr. Truong Gia Binh – Chairman of the Board of Directors; On the side of FPT Telecom, there were Mr. Hoang Nam Tien – Chairman of the Board of Directors, Mr. Hoang Viet Anh – General Director.

The cooperation event between VPF and FPT Play is expected to mobilize general resources, creating a breakthrough in the goal of upgrading the national professional football tournaments of Vietnamese football, approaching the  international standards. Accordingly, VPF will cooperate with FPT Play to promote the image and commercial exploitation of the top 3 tournaments that VPF is managing, organizing and operating, including the National League (V.League 1), National First Division (V.League 2) and National Cup for 5 consecutive seasons, from 2023 to 2027, on multiple platforms.

All matches within the framework of the above tournaments will be broadcasted by FPT Play on the following infrastructures: terrestrial, cable, satellite, IPTV, Internet, mobile, public projection and exploitation on social media. … Not only broadcasting the tournament, VPF and FPT Play will carry out many programs to follow the training and competition of the clubs, quality news accompanying the local tournaments, with in-depth analysis by experts, commentators, players and journalists, providing a multi-dimensional perspective for the audience.

Speaking about this cooperation event, Mr. Nguyen Minh Ngoc – General Director of VPF said: “In the mission of developing Vietnamese football, exploiting television rights and maximizing commercial exploitation is an inevitably trend, in accordance with the organizational model of the advanced football platforms in the world. Therefore, the strategic cooperation between VPF and FPT Play promises to bring advantages in promoting and enhancing the value and stature of national professional football tournaments. With the advantage of being one of the leading units in the production and broadcasting of sports content, I believe FPT Play will work with VPF to bring football experiences that are not only complete but different for nationwide fans in the near future.”

In recent years, Vietnamese football has continuously achieved many successes, making a special mark on the regional and continental arenas. In this strong transformation, it is impossible not to mention the fundamental contribution of domestic clubs. Therefore, the strong development from the tournaments that the cooperation agreement is aiming for is expected to bring many breakthroughs to Vietnamese football.

With the experience of organizing the production of international tournaments, FPT Play will give sports fans a complete view of the playing journey of 25 domestic clubs, since playing at the national tournaments to becoming  potential candidates at the continental and international level.

The representative of FPT Play also said that the unit is ready to negotiate and make every effort to create all conditions for sharing rights related to copyright of these 3 tournaments with all television and media units in the country. to strongly spread the image of the tournament.
