Third round of V-League 2008: Gia Lai score twice to sink Ha Noi ACB
Former champions Hoang Anh Gia Lai (HAGL) beat Ha Noi ACB 2-0 on home turf in the third round of V-League play on January 20.

HAGL were successful during the match in fielding a line-up combining veterans with young players.
In the 45th minute and 62th minute, Thonglao and Brazilian Agostinho scored goals for their team.
Meanwhile, in other league play, eyes were on Dong Tam Long An, who have yet to gain a victory after the first two rounds. They managed to break their loosing streak and beat SHB Da Nang, 3-1 in Long An Stadium yesterday.
Elsewhere yesterday, Hoa Phat Ha Noi drew with Binh Dinh 3-3 at Ha Noi”s Hang Day Stadium.
Hanoian Hoa Phat were leading 3-1 at one stage but two miraculous opportunities in the last minutes helped Hoa Phat level the score, and the team received one point at their home stadium.
At Thanh Hoa Stadium, 12,000 spectators watched Halida Thanh Hoa, who are suing First Division Vinakansai Ninh Binh team for illegally signing midfielder Mai Tien Thanh, beat Song Lam Nghe An 2-0.
In other matches, reigning champions Becamex Binh Duong lost to Southern Steel-Sai Gon Port 0-1 while Khanh Hoa lost to Hai Phong cement 0-1.
The first game of the third round took place last Saturday at My Dinh National Stadium between The Cong Viettel and Nam Dinh. The Cong won 1-0 thanks to a goal from foreign striker Endene.
Southern Steel-Sai Gon Port and Hai Phong cement are temporarily leading the ranking table with nine points each while Khanh Hoa and Da Nang rank at the bottom with no points
