AFC President congratulates Vietnam U23 on winning the Bronze Medal at the AFC U23 Asian Cup 2026
The Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) has recently received a congratulatory letter from AFC President Salman bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa, following Vietnam U23’s Bronze Medal achievement at the AFC U23 Asian Cup 2026, held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

In his letter to VFF President Tran Quoc Tuan, the AFC President expressed his delight and extended his congratulations to the VFF as well as the entire Vietnamese football community on Vietnam U23’s Bronze Medal achievement at the tournament. AFC President Salman bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa подчеркнул that Vietnam U23’s impressive performance is a clear testament to the efforts, structured investment, and strong commitment of the VFF in developing football.
Mr Tran Quoc Tuan, President of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF), member of the FIFA Competitions Committee for national teams for the 2025–2029 term, AFC Executive Committee member, and Chairman of the AFC Competitions Committee, presented awards alongside AFC officials after the final match.
Through the VFF, the AFC President also conveyed his praise to head coach Kim Sang-sik and the Vietnam U23 team for their fighting spirit, dedication, and consistent efforts throughout the tournament, expressing confidence that this achievement will serve as a significant motivation for Vietnamese football to continue striving for new milestones of success in the future.
