President of the Vietnam Football Federation sends letter of appreciation to clubs and football training centers for their contributions to the success of Vietnam U17 team
Following Vietnam U17’s impressive campaign, culminating in the 2026 AFF U17 Championship title and qualification for the FIFA U17 World Cup 2026, President Tran Quoc Tuan, on behalf of the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Football Federation, sent letters of appreciation to clubs and football training centers whose players, coaches and technical staff contributed to the team’s success.
In the letter, President Tran Quoc Tuan expressed his sincere appreciation and deep gratitude to the clubs and football training centres for their close cooperation, continued support and favourable conditions provided for the players, coaches and technical staff to train and compete with the Vietnam U17 national team over the past period.
President Tran Quoc Tuan highly appreciated the sense of responsibility, sharing spirit and active support from the clubs and football training centres throughout the team’s preparation process. These valuable contributions played an important role in helping Vietnam U17 achieve two major goals in 2026: winning the AFF U17 Championship title and securing a place at the FIFA U17 World Cup 2026 by advancing to the quarter-finals of the AFC U17 Asian Cup 2026.
At the AFF U17 Championship and especially at the AFC U17 Asian Cup 2026, the contribution of clubs and football training centres was clearly reflected through the following personnel statistics:
- Hanoi Football Club: 01 head coach, 01 assistant coach, 01 interpreter and 06 players (including 05 players at the AFF U17 Championship and 06 players at the AFC U17 Asian Cup 2026).
- PVF Youth Football Training Centre: 02 assistant coaches and 06 players.
- The Cong Viettel Football Club: 05 players (05 players at the AFF U17 Championship and 04 players at the AFC U17 Asian Cup 2026).
- Ho Chi Minh City Football Club and BMG Football Academy: 03 players (03 players at the AFF U17 Championship and 01 player at the AFC U17 Asian Cup 2026).
- Song Lam Nghe An Football Club: 03 players.
- SHB Da Nang Football Club: 01 player at the AFF U17 Championship.
- Xuan Thien Phu Tho Football Club: 01 assistant coach.
- Ninh Binh Sports Centre II (youth team of Thep Xanh Nam Dinh Club): 01 player.
- Hue Football Club: 01 player.
- Dong A Thanh Hoa Football Club: 01 player.
- Thai Son Bac Futsal Club: 01 team doctor.
President Tran Quoc Tuan emphasized that the achievements of Vietnam U17 carry not only professional significance, but also inspire pride and confidence among Vietnamese football fans, while further affirming the position of Vietnamese football on the continental stage.
President Tran Quoc Tuan also affirmed that effective cooperation between clubs, football training centres and the national teams serves as an important foundation for Vietnamese football to continue developing in a professional, sustainable and internationally integrated direction.
The VFF leadership also expressed its hope to continue receiving support, cooperation and companionship from clubs and football training centres in the development of national teams, towards the long-term and sustainable growth of Vietnamese football.
