Mr. Duong Nghiep Khoi also shared that it is very appropriate to empower Mr. Hoang Anh Tuan to assume the position of head coach of the U23 Vietnam to attend the 2023 AFF U23 Championship, because the team’s core force are players with the age group U18-U20, most of which are students of coach Hoang Anh Tuan who have just attended Asian youth tournaments such as the U17 Asian Cup, the 2023 U20 Asian Cup. Contribute to the training and development of the next generation of players for the national team. Most of them have so far confirmed their positions in the U23 team and the national team. I have spent more than 30 years in football and during the 8 years of working with the VFF, I myself have always determined that my task is to coach young players to serve the national team. With all my enthusiasm and efforts, I hope that after each tournament that we attend, including the upcoming AFF U23 Championship, the quality of young players will gradually improve and create a positive change for their next stages of development in their professional football career,” said coach Hoang Anh Tuan.

We enter the tournament with serious preparation, with a desire to contribute and with a clear goal for each match, especially we will do our best to show the beautiful gameplay, the beautiful image of Vietnamese football in the international arena”, coach Hoang Anh Tuan affirmed.
He also shared: “For me personally, the biggest pressure is how many players will be introduced after each tournament for the national team. VFF is having a very good strategy and investment for the next generation, I also hope that we will also have an investment in the next team of coaches for the teams. I am very grateful to VFF for creating the conditions for me to choose my associates in the U23 Vietnam to participate in the 2023 AFF U23 Championship. It can be said that this is the best coaching staff I have ever had, with the support of the famous players such as Tran Minh Chien, Le Phuoc Tu, Hua Hien Vinh, Tran Duc Cuong. They are all experienced in coaching in the Second, First and V.League as well as in youth football training. I hope in the future, in addition to creating resources for successors for the teams, at the same time, it will also be the successor coaches for the national teams.”
