Nam Dinh football club gets new sponsors

Dam Phu My, a PetroViet Nam group company, has taken over sponsoring National Cup holders Nam Dinh football club from Mikado after singing a three-year deal with the northern side on Sunday.

The fertiliser company, whose major share holder is PetroViet Nam, will spend a record VND7 billion, the biggest sponsorship contract for a topflight V-League team, to have its name with the team for three years.

The team will also benefit from the open contract, in which Nam Dinh will get an extra 20 per cent of the sponsorship money approximately VND10 billion if they win the league”s 2007-08 season. However, the team”s contract specifies a reduction in profit if they fail to finish in the top five.
