The women’s team adjusts the training plan

The coaching assistants of the women’s national team decided to continue practicing at the Vietnam Youth Football Training Centre instead of Cam Pha (Quang Ninh). This adjustment was decided to ensure the health and safety of the players due to the situation of the COVID-19 pandemic.

On the afternoon of Jan 23, Vietnam Women Team had the second friendly match with Australia Embassy’s Team at Vietnam Youth Football Training Centre. After 2 halves, the team of head coach Mai Duc Chung won 7-0.

Vietnam stay as ASEAN’s best in unchanged FIFA Women’s World Ranking

Vietnam remains ASEAN’s top-ranked team in the latest FIFA Women’s World Ranking. With the suspending of the tournaments since the beginning of the year, the ranking of women teams in the world is unchanged. Vietnam Women Team continues to stay at 35th in the world and 6th in Asia with 1657 points.

FIFA Ranking 1st quarter 2020: Vietnam Women Team maintains the 6th place in Asia

According to the FIFA Ranking in the first quarter of 2020, with 1657 points, Vietnam Women Team maintains the 6th place in Asia, higher than Thailand (39th in the world). Our team has kept this place since the 2nd quarter of 2019. However, because of the result of the Olympic Tokyo 2020 Qualifier play-off, Vietnam Women Team dropped down to 35th in the latest FIFA Women’s World Rankings published on Friday.
