Women’s national team takes the first injection of COVID-19 vaccine

To prepare for the Asian Cup 2022 Qualifier which will kick off in September in Tajikistan, on the afternoon of Jul 26, the women’s team took the first injection of the COVID-19 vaccine.

Head coach Mai Duc Chung, coaching assistants, and players took the vaccination at 108 Military Hospital where head coach Park Hang-seo and Men’s team took 2 injections before moving to UAE for the competition and getting the chance to join in the FIFA World Cup 2022 Final Qualifier. As the plan, the second injection of the women’s team will be taken after at least 4 weeks.

On behalf of the team, head coach Mai Duc Chung thanked the authorities and VFF for creating the opportunity for the Women’s team to take the vaccination before having an international mission. “The team is statable day by day and focuses on practicing at the Vietnam Youth Football Training Centre. We are happy when having the vaccination to ensure health and safety. Today, the epidemic is changing fast, therefore coaching assistants always remain the players to follow the rule to prevent the epidemic. Even having some difficulties, we and VFF will find the solution and have the best preparation for the good result and complete the mission”.

In the morning, the team maintained the training. Head coach Mai Duc Chung stated that the players are having good health. The team will have a day off on Jul 27 and be back on the field on Jul 28 under the supervision of doctors.
