Coach Philippe Trousier wants to give the opportunity for all players

Sharing about the list of many young and new faces of this gathering, head coach Philippe Trousier said that U23 players gathered at the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) this week will not be the squad calculated to attend the AFC U23 Asian Cup 2024 qualifier. The main component of the U23 Vietnam participating in the qualifiers will be fully gather on August 29. The list has been sent to VFF and will be announced soon. Similarly with the list of the national team which will reunite on September 1.
This gathering has 2 main targets. One is to maintain the physical strength and competition condition of the players. And the second is create competition and antagonism for the players.
He emphasized that he will not close the door with any player and will give equal opportunities to them. “There are 60 players who can compete for the position of the Vietnam team, but the final list will be those who adapt with the tactics, show bravery and complete the task well even with or without the ball in his feet,” coach Philippe Trousier affirmed.
