Hanoi FC win Bamboo Airways National Cup 2020
2 goals in 8 last minutes help Hanoi FC came back from a goal down to score 2-1 over Viettel at the final match of Bamboo Airways National Cup 2020. With this result, Hanoi FC becomes the first team to successfully defend the cup title in 16 years.

Numerous chances were created by Hanoi within the first 15 minutes. On 75 minutes, underdogs Viettel thought that had sealed the win when midfielder Ngọc Sơn broke the deadlock in what up until that point, had been an uneventful affair.
But Vietel held their lead for just seven minutes. Hanoi found the equalizer in the 81st minute when substitute midfielder Truong Van Thai Quy received a pass from Nguyen Thanh Chung’s head and scored with a powerful shot. 9 minutes later, Thai Quy opened the chance for Quang Hai to make a volley into the goal of Viettel.
For the first time in 16 years, Hà Nội have regained the National Cup, a feat only achieved back in 2004 by Bình Định.
