Phú Đông Ninh Binh wrapped up a perfect season with 18 wins, 1 draw, no losses, scoring 38 goals and conceding only twice, earning a total of 55 points after Round 21 — ahead of their final match at Dong Thap Stadium. If they secure another 3 points, coach Nguyen Viet Thang and his players will complete the season with an almost perfect record, creating strong momentum as they prepare for promotion to V.League 1 starting from the 2025/2026 season, which is expected to kick off in August 2025.
Thrilling Play-off Race Goes Down to the Final Round
After a 0-3 loss in Ninh Binh, Truong Tuoi Binh Phuoc FC have yet to secure their place in the promotion play-off. They currently sit just one point ahead of PVF-CAND (41 vs. 40), who earned a narrow 1-0 win over Khanh Hoa in Round 21.
In the final round, both teams will play at home: Binh Phuoc will host Long An, while PVF-CAND face Dong Nai. The results will determine who earns the play-off ticket to V.League 1.
Hue FC Relegated
At the bottom of the table, Hue FC have officially been relegated after finishing with 16 points — the same as Hoa Binh FC but losing out on head-to-head record. Despite their 1-0 win over HCMC Youth FC in Round 21, the late effort wasn’t enough to keep them in the First Division.
