VFF president Tran Quoc Tuan visit and encourage the Olympic team
On the morning of September 17, President of Vietnam Football Federation Tran Quoc Tuan visited and encouraged the Vietnamese Olympic team on the first day of official activities in Hangzhou, preparing for the opening match of ASIAD 19 men’s football.

At the meeting with the whole team, Mr. Tran Quoc Tuan, on behalf of the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Football Federation, praised the training spirit and efforts of coach Hoang Anh Tuan and his players in recent times. Although the preparation time was very limited, the whole team had maximum focus, taking advantage of each training day to perfect their gameplay, aiming for ASIAD 19 with the most initiative in all aspects.
Reporting to President Tran Quoc Tuan about the team’s situation in Hangzhou, head coach Hoang Anh Tuan said that the team’s living and accommodation conditions at the Grand New Century Hotel Radio & TV Zhejiang are very good, security is good because this is the hotel reserved by the organizers of ASIAD 19 for sports teams attending the Congress. Regarding professional work, the team encountered some difficulties due to the regulations of the ASIAD 19 Organizing Committee that only allowed a maximum of 8 members to be registered in the coaching staff, leading to the head coach and assistants having to take on more tasks. However, when coming here to attend the Congress, the whole team only aimed for one goal, which is to strive to achieve the best results in each match.
Also this morning, under the guidance of fitness expert Jose Brandi Regato Neto, the players did recovery exercises at the hotel gym, then had a professional meeting and disseminated the activity program. On the same afternoon, the team will have their first practice session at the Zhejiang University of Finance & Economics East Athletics stadium, located 19km from where they are stationed.
