Vietnam U23 National Team to Participate in the 2026 CFA Team China – Xi’an Tournament
At the invitation of the Chinese Football Association, the Vietnam U23 National Football Team will participate in the CFA Team China – Xi’an 2026 International Tournament, which will take place from March 25 to March 31, 2026 in Xi’an, China.

This year’s tournament will feature four teams: hosts China U23 National Football Team, Vietnam U23 National Football Team, Thailand U23 National Football Team and North Korea U23 National Football Team. The teams will compete in a single round-robin format to determine the final standings.
According to the schedule announced by the organizers, Vietnam U23 will face North Korea U23 on March 25, take on Thailand U23 on March 28, before meeting hosts China U23 in the final match on March 31.
To prepare for the tournament, the Vietnam U23 team is expected to convene on March 17 in Hanoi. This gathering is also part of the plan of the Vietnam Football Federation to build a pipeline of players for the senior national team, while providing young players with valuable international experience in preparation for the 2026 Asian Games.
