Two goals by Nguyen Mai Tien Thanh and Tran Nguyen Quan helped Cement Fico Tay Ninh beat TDC Binh Duong 2-1. Hai Nhan Tien Giang also defeated Ho Chi Minh City with the same score.
Quang Nam, Can Tho, SQC Binh Dinh were held goaless draw by Huda Hue, An Giang, Dong Nai Ber respectively. Meanwhile, Hanoi ACB drew 1-1 with Viettel.

As a result, after the first round, Hai Nhan Tien Giang and Cement Fico Tay Ninh temporarily occupied the top position. Viettel and Hanoi ACB ranked second and third respectively while TDC Binh Duong and Ho Chi Minh City were at the bottom of the rankings.
