Hanoi lifts to the championship of Women’s U19 National Championship 2022

With the victory over Son La, Hanoi won the Women’s U19 National Championship 2022 convincingly.

Right in the first minute, Hanoi team immediately opened the scoring by Vu Thi Hoa with a decisive shot.

The early goal made Hanoi even more excited. However, the team of head coach Dang Anh Tuan were no need to hurry when they completely master the game on the field. In the 45th minute, Dang Thi Duyen ended Hanoi’s successful half with a double difference for Hanoi.

In the second half, the situation did not change much when Son La’s attack power was not enough to make a difference. Only one more goal was scored for Hanoi with Anh Dao’s shining moment. Defeating Son La 3-0 in the last match, Hanoi was officially crowned the 2022 National Women’s U19 Championship with 23 points after 10 rounds.

Ranked 2nd after 9 matches but only 3 points higher than the teams followed, Phong Phu Ha Nam understands that the victory over Ho Chi Minh City in the last round is the goal that they must definitely achieve. However, the representative of the North encountered many difficulties in front of the large and well-organized defense of Ho Chi Minh City.

During the first half, Phong Phu Ha Nam’s attacks hardly created any really dangerous chances on the opponent’s goal. They even had to receive a goal down in the 41st minute when Nguyen Thi Diem Huynh opened the score for Ho Chi Minh City.

With nothing to lose, Phong Phu Ha Nam began to attack 45 minutes after the break. The efforts soon paid off when Vu Thi Hoa equalized 1-1 in the 51st minute. And still the Vietnam U18 player with the second goal 13 minutes later to raise the score to 2-1.

Released the pressure, Phong Phu Ha Nam played quite well in the last minutes of the match. Ta Thi Thuy fixed a 3-1 victory for Phong Phu Ha Nam with an accurate penalty kick in the 85th minute.

The final match of the tournament was the game between Than KSVN and Thai Nguyen T&T. It only takes 1 point to get 3rd place, so Thai Nguyen T&T plays firmly, choosing a way to defend and counter-attack. That play proved to be effective when Le Kieu Chinh helped the team take the lead with an easy close-in ball in the 27th minute.

The second half witnessed a real rain of goals. In the 61st minute, Nhu Quynh shot a beautiful long shot to equalize the score 1-1 for Than KSVN. But just 3 minutes later, Ngoc Minh Chuyen restored the lead for Thai Nguyen T&T. The drama of the match was pushed to a high level when Ngoc Minh Chuyen missed the penalty kick and Thanh Thao unexpectedly equalized the score 2-2 for Than KSVN. However, the remaining time was not enough to have more goals and they had to accept the draw. With Thai Nguyen T&T, 1 point is enough to get the 3rd place overall in this year’s tournament.
