4-0 victory over defending champions Dong Tam Long An at home in the earliest match of round 13 of the national championship/V-League helped Da Nang go clear on top of the table.

A 4-0 victory over defending champions Dong Tam Long An at home in the earliest match of round 13 of the national championship/V-League helped Da Nang go clear on top of the table. Elsewhere in Go Dau, two struggling giants, Binh Duong and Hoang Anh Gia Lai drew 0-0.

Goals by Almeida, Van Hung and veteran Le Huynh Duc helped Da Nang won the first stage of the V-League. The hosts broke the deadlock in the 41st minute with Almeida heading home the opener after a cross from Rogerio, who has just recovered from an injury.

Veteran Le Huynh Duc, who started the match from the bench, set up Van Hung to extend the lead in the 68th minute. Ten minutes later, Van Hung broke the off-side trap to make it 3-0. A blunder by goalkeeper Tien Phong gifted Huynh Duc an opportunity to seal a 4-0 victory for the hosts.

Winning the first stage, Da Nang are now on track to win the national championship for the first time in 15 years. Meanwhile, Dong Tam Long An drop to 12th in the table sitting three points ahead of bottom Pomina Steel Tien Giang.

In Go Dau, Binh Duong and Hoang Anh Gia Lai drew 0-0. The two sides failed to line up their strongest squads as Binh Duong were missing Philani and Hoang Anh Gia Lai did not have the service of coach player Kiatisuk. Hosts Binh Duong had more possession in the first half and created two scoring opportunities but Van Linh and Amaobi failed to find the net in the 23rd and 38th minutes, respectively.

In the second half, the match continued in this manner with few scoring opportunities.

After the match, the two sides continue to stay in the bottom half of the table.

PISICO Binh Dinh move up to the second place in the table after a 3-0 victory over PJICO Song Lam Nghe An, who are in trouble due to conflicts of interest and salary cuts. In the fifth minute, Sorayoot set up Hoang Lam to score from a close range. In the 30th minute, Hoang Lam set up Minh Minh to extend the lead. Four minutes into the second half, Van Hien gave an excellent run, rounding two PJICO Song Lam Nghe An”s defenders before finding the goal.

LG.HN.ACB are now third in the table after a 2-0 victory in Ho Chi Minh City against their hosts Southern Steel Saigon Port with two goals by Mustafa Sama and Van Minh in the 33rd and 89th minutes.

Other results are as follows: Pomina Steel Tien Giang drew 1-1 with Mitustar Haier Haiphong and Hoa Phat Hanoi lost 1-0 to Khatoco Khanh Hoa. With these results, Pomina Steel Tien Giang stay at bottom after the first stage.
