The Vietnamese under-20 football team beat V-League club Binh Duong 3-2 in a friendly on October 25.

The under-20s and Binh Duong, who played the game without foreign players, drew 0-0 in the first half.

Ten minutes into the second half, Thanh Luong fired home the opener after a good combination. In five minutes, from the 70th and 75th, Binh Duong scored two goals by Truong Giang from outside the penalty box.

Ho Ngoc Huy levelled the score before Ngoc Dieu headed in the winner, sealing a 3-2 for the under-20s.

The under-20 team will be shortlisted to 20 players and will leave for India on October 27 for the Asian finals. They will play Malaysia on October 30, Iraq on November 1 and Saudi Arabia on November 3.
