Because of wasting many goal chances and individual blunders, Ho Chi Minh City defending champions accepted a loss 2-1 to girls from Hanoi at the national women”s football championship taking place in Ho Chi Minh City.

In the 11th minute, Le Thi Vui”s blunder created favourable conditions for Ngoc Cham who received the ball in the penalty area and scored an opener for the visitors. 

The hosts levelled the score in the 32nd minute through Vo Thi Thu Ha. In the second half, the hosts pressured Hanoi girls and created dozens of goal chances but could not score.

At the time when Hanoi thought they should have been defeated, Le Thi Thuy launched a volley over goalkeeper Kieu Trinh to seal the victory in the 76th minute for the girls from the capital city.
