Player Cao Pendant Quang Vinh has officially become a Vietnamese citizen
This morning (March 28), at the headquarters of the Hanoi Department of Justice, a ceremony was held to present the decision from the President of Vietnam granting Vietnamese citizenship to player Cao Pendant Quang Vinh.
Attending the ceremony, from the French Embassy in Vietnam, there was Mr. Michel Delavictoire – Head of the Consular Section of the French Embassy in Vietnam; from the Ministry of Justice, there was Mr. Hoàng Tuấn Anh – representative of the Administrative and Judicial Department of the Ministry of Justice; from the Hanoi Department of Justice, there was Mr. Phạm Thanh Cao – Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Deputy Director of the Hanoi Department of Justice; Mr. Lã Hoàng Hưng – Head of the Administrative Department of the Hanoi Department of Justice; from the Vietnam Football Federation, there was Mr. Nguyễn Văn Phú – General Secretary of the Vietnam Football Federation; from CAHN FC, there was Lieutenant Colonel Nguyễn Mạnh Cường – Executive Director of CAHN FC; player Cao Pendant Quang Vinh – the main character of the event and his family; along with representatives from central and Hanoi press agencies.
The representative of the Hanoi Department of Justice, Mr. Lã Hoàng Hưng, chaired the ceremony and read the decision from the President of Vietnam granting Vietnamese citizenship to player Cao Pendant Quang Vinh. He congratulated the CAHN FC player on officially becoming a Vietnamese citizen and expressed hope that Quang Vinh would make significant contributions to Vietnamese football.
For his part, in the solemn atmosphere of the ceremony and during the national anthem, with overwhelming emotions, player Cao Pendant Quang Vinh expressed: “Today is a special day in my life – the day I officially become a Vietnamese citizen. My heart is filled with happiness and pride. I was born in France, but the Vietnamese blood in me has always urged me to contribute to my homeland’s football.” On this occasion, Quang Vinh expressed his gratitude to the President of Vietnam, the Vietnam Football Federation, the Hanoi Department of Justice, and Hanoi Police for trusting and supporting him in completing the citizenship process. “This is not only an honor but also a promise and responsibility. I will use all my talent and passion to contribute to the national team, ensuring that every goal and every pass reflects the pride of our nation,” Quang Vinh affirmed.
On behalf of the leadership of the Vietnam Football Federation, General Secretary Nguyễn Văn Phú spoke at the event, congratulating Cao Pendant Quang Vinh and expressing confidence that he would continue to develop his talent and contribute to CAHN FC and Vietnamese football in the future. General Secretary Nguyễn Văn Phú shared: “I can see the happy faces of Quang Vinh and his family through the vows just made. I would like to sincerely thank and wish good health to His Excellency the French Ambassador and to France for nurturing Quang Vinh so that today he can return to contribute to the homeland. The future is wide open for Quang Vinh with his talent. Congratulations to CAHN FC for having another Vietnamese player in the squad. In the coming time, the Vietnam Football Federation will continue to follow Quang Vinh’s form and development, and we are confident that he will make many contributions to Vietnamese football.”
On behalf of the club, Lieutenant Colonel Nguyễn Mạnh Cường – Executive Director of CAHN FC, also expressed his joy as Cao Pendant Quang Vinh officially joined the club as a Vietnamese player. This will contribute to strengthening the team for the upcoming period, with the first challenge being the away match against PSM Makassar (Indonesia) in the first leg of the ASEAN Club Championship – Shopee Cup 2024/25, which will take place on April 2nd.
